XDB386 works with the breakpoint register of the target processor and thus is capable of setting real-time watches and breakpoints in ROM. Complex expressions can be evaluated and CAST operations are permitted. Not only can the dynamic call hierarchy be displayed but also the local stack variables from any function in the call hierarchy. Of course, you can also display variables and register contents, display and modify memory areas and single-step through your program. This power is coupled with a graphical interface and full mouse support to let you get on with debugging your application instead of struggling with your debugger. CAD-UL XDB386 can also be used across a network which gives you the option of communicating with your target over ethernet. Besides being a cross development debugger, CAD-UL XDB386 is available as a native debugger on many UNIX systems. This allows users of these systems to have the same interface for both cross- and native software development. |
